Adding a user to a domain

To add a user to a domain:

  1. Start WEBppliance and log on as Site Administrator.
  2. On the Site Administrator page, click Users in the index on the left.
  3. The Users window appears on the right.

  4. Click Add User .
  5. The Add a User to your Site form opens.

  6. Use the following information to help you complete the form.
  7. In this field:

    Enter:

    Username

    The name the user will use to log onto WEBppliance. Enter the name in lowercase characters.

    Fullname

    The user's first and last names.

    Password

    The password the user will use to log onto WEBppliance. Enter the password a second time in the Confirm Password field.

    Disk Quota

    The disk space, in megabytes, that this user can use.

    Note: WEBppliance does not support quotas on NFS-mounted servers. For NFS-mounted servers, this field will remain 0.

    Options

    The server applications that will be available to the user. Applications are not available to users unless your service provider has made them available to your domain.

    Choose:

    • FTP only to grant the user FTP service only
    • None to grant the user no services
    • Both FTP and Telnet to grant the user FTP and Telnet services

  8. Click Save .
