Creating a User Defaults template

To create a User Defaults template:

  1. Start WEBppliance and log on as Site Administrator.
  2. On the Site Administrator page, click Users in the index on the left.
  3. The Users window appears on the right.

  4. Click Set User Defaults .
  5. The Set User Defaults form opens.

  6. In the Disk Quota field, enter the amount of disk space, in Megabytes, that will be allotted to each user.
  7. Note: WEBppliance does not support quotas on NFS-mounted servers. For NFS-mounted servers, this field will remain 0.

  8. In the Options field, specify the server applications that will be available to the users.
  9. Note: Applications are not available to users unless your service provider has made them available to your domain.

    Choose:

    To grant the user access to:

    FTP only

    FTP service only

    None

    No services

    Both FTP and Telnet

    FTP and Telnet services

  10. Click Save .
  11. WEBppliance creates a User Defaults template using the data you supplied on this form.
