Loading the certificate onto your Web site

After you receive the SSL Certificate, load the certificate onto your domain.

To load the certificate:

1. Open the email from the CA and copy the contents onto your local machine into a text authoriong utility, such as Notepad.

Once you have copied the contents into a text authoring utility, leave the utility open on your desktop.

2. Start WEBppliance and log onto your Site Administrator page.
3. Click Services in the index on the left.

The Service List window opens, showing a list of services currently installed on your server.



4. In the Actions column, click next to Apache Web Server.

   The Web Server Manager window opens.

   

5. Click SSL Settings .

The SSL Settings window opens.



6. Click Import .

The Save SSL Certificate window opens.



7. Copy the certificate information from Notepad and paste it into the Save SSL Certificate window.
8. To save the certificate, click Save .

Important: To make security effective on your domain, have your Appliance Administrator restart the Apache server. The domain is not secure until you do so.
