Sending the request to the Certificate Authority

To send the request to the certificate authority:

1. Copy the encrypted request onto your system clipboard.
2. Open another Internet browser and go to the Web site of the Certificate Authority you want to use.
3. In the appropriate window of the CA's Web site, paste the encrypted certificate request and follow the CA's instructions for submitting it.

The CA will send you an SSL certificate, usually through email. After you have received the certificate from the CA, the next step is uploading the certificate to your Web site.
